The New Rule In High Schools

In the histroy class' of High school's they are making a rule that you can't say BC (Before Christ), now you have to say BCE (Before Christian Era). But in Middle School's and Elementary you are allowed to say it. So for those of you who are in High school becareful.

Why is this allowed? Is this a religeous issue? What are the consequences if you continue to call it BC and not BCE?

I've heard this too. I don't know if there any consequences. I think there is a push to bring people into being "politically correct".

I don't know what will happen and I think it is stupid for it to be this big of a deal and they are saying it is because people don't want other people to say Christ.

The reason there are shootings in school is LIBERAL TEACHERS and their beliefs. If you are a Christian, and believe in Christianity, violence is not allowed.

Those STUPID teachers are the ones who allow violence by making rules not to hurt people feelings.

When the world finally comes to an end I hope the liberal teachers enjoy Satans company, maybe they can teach him something in algebra...

Actually BCE stands for Before Common Era and CE stands for Common Era. The "scholars" don't like to use BC and AD "Anno Domini" in the year of our Lord. I say let them use what they want. The fact still stands history is divided by the birth, life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

It's pure bunk in my opinion but unfortunately thats how it is in public schools now. While part of me agrees with seperation of church and state,as a Mother of a child who will start school soon,I believe in Jesus Christ and would like to splurge and get her into Christian school. These people nitpicking over someone referring to Jesus need him in their lives the most.
BTW.Ricky, your blog is impressive, you are obviously an extremely consciencous(sp?) and bright young man.Keep up the good work!I bet your Mom is so proud!

Scholars can call "it" as they like.
But, no matter, a thing is iether before or after Christ. And the supposed most intelligent among us continue to tell us how to think and speak and CHANGE the history books.

Don't worry too much about this. When I was in school in the 60's, we were going to be metric any minute, and that still isn't so.
Common sense will persevere, won't it?

This is a very interesting thing the schools are saying. It all started back in the sixties when one atheist got them to take prayer
out of school. Until then every classroom started the day with The Lords Prayer and the Pledge to the flag. This started the downfall of public education as we see it today. They also took the discipline out of schools. I remember when you acted up in class
you went to see the pricipal and if you saw too much of him you got a paddling. The worst thing that happened back then was a fight in the school yard or smoking in the bathroom. Not so today the kids graduate and some are illiterate thats right they cannot read or write. But they keep pushing them through God forbid they be left behind even if they didn't pass to the next grade. Also today it is not uncommon for a second grader to bring a real handgun into school. It is really the parents responsibility to discipline their own children but they refuse to do it. They just give them more stuff to make up for the time they don't spend with them. After getting everything given to you and never having to work for it, we wonder why todays kids have a poor work ethic. Or worse yet go out into the world and steal things. Ahhh
for the good ole days.
